The thriller dramatizes the most notorious unsolved cases in recent time.”

The question remains over who shot Notorious B.I.G.? and that is the biggest issue that Johnny Depp and Forest Whitaker will try to solve in their upcoming movie, “City of Lies.” which the trailer was released today.

Depp plays LAPD’s detective Russell Poole, whose has often been portrayed in many movies as the real-life officer who investigated the death of Christopher Wallace better known by his stage name as Biggie, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1997, shortly after his west coast peer, Tupac Shakur was murder.

The movie sees him teaming up with reporter Jack Jackson played by Forest Whitaker, a character inspired by Randall Sullivan, who wrote the book “Labyrinth” on which the movie is based.

“A murder like that only goes unsolved if the police don’t want to solve it,” Depp’s Poole says in the trailer, while warning that if a connection between cops and the murder was ever unearthed, “it would ruin the city.”

Here’s the official synopsis for the movie, hitting theaters September 7:

6ix9ine Fears For His Safety During Community Service

Published

Though Tekashi 6ix9ine is set to be a free man this weekend when his house arrest period comes to an end, the ramifications of his crime spree and subsequent turn as a stoolie are far from over. In fact, some project that he’ll be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his days, despite putting up a tough front whenever he addresses the public. In any case, his bed has been made — rainbow sheets and all. Case in point, 6ix9ine and his team have recently pointed out a conundrum of sorts, one that appears to be having an impact on his upcoming commitment to community service.

As of now, Tekashi has been assigned 300 hours of community service, with his attorney Lance Lazarro confirming that he has yet to have completed a single hour. With the world seemingly set to be his oyster come Saturday, Lazarro has since voiced concerns that actively engaging in the community service requirements will put his life at risk. A fair notion, considering serving one’s community requires one to be physically present in a given location — though should 6ix9ine intend on doing anything beyond traipsing around his bedroom, he’ll have to step outside eventually.

TMZ reports that Lazarro is requesting that 6ix9ine be able to do his service at a secured facility, providing the example of a hospital or a school. Think witnesses and security — the more the merrier. It’s unclear whether or not 6ix9ine will ever ease up, though it’s unlikely given how antagonistic he continues to behave on social media. Alas, these are the pitfalls of reckless designs.

In the past few weeks, we haven’t heard much from Future and girlfriend Lori Harvey. Few months ago, the Atlanta rapper and his modelgirlfriend were the center of attention as they shared their lavish luxury trips together to celebrate her birthday.

Lori keeps on warming up the Gram with her photographs and keeping in mind that Future hasn’t posted much about his private life, he offered up a tweet on July 27 that implied how he might be gifting his partner.

“Buy her a Patek if u love her” Future wrote, speaking of Luxury Watch Designer Patek Philippe. With the lavish lifestyle he has shown the world, we’re sure a Patek is just an insignificant detail.

However, Lil Yachty decided to answer Future’s call and said he may not feel as deeply about his lady if that’s where the bar is set.

“Ugh I was so on the fence about if I loved her or not… but I guess I finally now know.. that I do not. Lmao,” he jokingly tweeted.

Would you buy a Patek to your significant other?
