Lil Durk, “Nobody Knows” How Personal It Was

Published

on

Lil Durk lately stayed away from the lime light just to come back stronger than ever, with the videoclip for “Nobody Knows.”, by far his most personal track.

Durk melodically laments through Auto-Tune about the people he’s lost this year, those who have betrayed him and the pain that comes from being a successful rapper in an industry full of those who would seek to take that joy away from you.

The song shows the Chicago MC’s maturity and growth despite losses of close associates. The Chopsquad DJ-produced track is somber, triumphant and infectious. Durk and Reese have been making moves this summer and showing the world they have more to offer in the years since the drill sub-genre they created has largely been spread to other regions.

If the Durk and Reese have been too silent for your liking in the past couple years, they are more than making up for it with the release of their latest project and the accompanying visuals. Durk and Reese released the video for “Distance” last month in advance of their collaborative EP.

SkinnyFromThe9 Makes Great Sense In “Problems”

Published

David Alex Villegas, better know by his stage name SkinnyFromThe9, is an American rapper from Somerville, New Jersey. After gaining widespread attention following “Love Blast” release in late 2017, which led to him signing to L.A. Reid’s record label, HITCO, in late 2018.

Skinny is now making a lot of sense in the industry. Not only musically, but also because he adds up real depth to an often empty genre. We always felt like Playboi Carti invented a new vibe, and we give him credit for that, but could not really understand if the timing was not right or his univers was too staged.

With Skinny we get the vibe, the lyrics are coherant with the artist himself. The video effect have their place, as they sum up the actual lyrics.

That! is! a perfect match. Take a minute to leave a comment if you feel this way.

Chicago super star Warhol.SS has been putting out some of the best music of his young career lately, and today he is complimenting that with one of his best visuals yet for “No Pencil”.

He joined forces with fellow Chicagoan Jake Osmun, and if you know anything about these two creatives together then you know this one was going to be good, and sure enough they came through with a fantastic final product.

Warhol had a huge year in 2018 but I think he will have a lot more in store for his growing fan base in 2019, but for now watch this brand new visual below!
