Lil Wayne Channels XXXTentacion’s Spirit In Their “Dont Cry” Videoclip

We would not have expected ever, to read the word Featuring between Lil Wayne’s name and Jahseh, but we had the surprise earlier tonight to witness the industry’s ways.

Tha Carter V may have been the most heavily anticipated and postponed album of the decade and its release is still uncertain. While fans grew to believe “Tha Carter V” would end up like Detox; a piece of hip-hop history that would never see the light of day. Things have worked out for Tunechi’s fans though when the project was finally set free.

While journalism isn’t about personal opinion but more information oriented, we can’t help but strongly react to this trend which promotes posthumous collaboration, as if there were an afterlife market for artist whom could treat themselves with a collaboration of dead artists.

After “Falling Down”, which is a sumptuous up-tempoed track with Lil Peep and XXXTentation released after the passed away, few artists tried their hands at releasing posthumous collaboration.

As surprisingly as it can sound, Lil Wayne’s song is a thought and uncompromising tribute to the missed artist, a mausoleum for the New Orleans artist to gather and hold a special remembrance to the too early gone talent.

However, what is more intriguing is that Wayne refuses to acknowledge the young rapper. Disturbing, that the Best rapper alive isn’t aware of the hottest ast in the industry, especially one who has been beefing a year before with one of his artists, none other than Drake, on a mainstream level.

What could supposedly explain his position, was the late lyrics to “I’m upset”, which could allegedly tie the Canadian rapper to XXXTentacion’s murder.

Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

Recently, alternative artist JUMEX released a new song “SPRAYPAINT” with blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

Now, he’s unveiled a new video for the single that’s inspired by the new film Joker

The video shows the artist in Joker-inspired makeup. We also see Barker take on the role of a news anchor reporting on the city being “vandalized by a mysterious character” which is actually JUMEX in his clown suit.

JUMEX shared some behind-the-scenes snaps from the set to Instagram to announced the video had dropped.

Joker just released in theaters and has been making a lot of headlines for the violent content in the film and the possible real-world implications it can have. You can see the trailer for that below.

Speaking of Travis Barker collabs, he just achieved the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Rock Songwriters chart due to his various collaborations.

Those 15 accolades are what pushed Barker to the No. 1 spot on the songwriting chart. This is the first time someone has achieved such an honor with so many tracks.

The No. 2 spot on the songwriting chart is tied by the other two blink-182 members, Matt Skiba and Mark Hoppus, for their work on the 14 charting songs from NINE. All but one of the tracks, “Happy Days” from the new blink-182 album are charting.

While 14 tracks from that album helped in Barker’s charting placement, it was the collab with MGK and YUNGBLUD, which is his highest-charting song on Rock Songs at No. 3, that helped take him to the leading position.

You can see the full list of Barker’s tracks on the Rock Songs chart and their placements below.

Barker’s Rock Songs chart placements
  1. “I Think I’m Okay” by Machine Gun Kelly, YUNGBLUD and Travis Barker
