M+RC NOIR : Inside Marché Noir Pop Up Store

An extensive look inside Marché Noir at the Paris Pop-up.

The french brand Marché Noir has to be one of the most talked about emerging streetwear brand in the world. Largely inspired of old school Marithé designs, the french designers have come up with a new capsule collection for the Fall Winter 2017 release, which is a by far, the most efficient, yet classic, array of garment they ever dropped.

After the two day pop up in London, it was time for the Frenchies to pack up and head toward the French capital for a quick one near Place de la République.

3ème parrallèle might not be the biggest name in the gallerist world and you might have never heard of it, but it is located in a small street that kind of have that legitimate position in the urban streetwear world to set trends. Last time we were there was for ViceLand x Trasher tour last summer, and the shop was rented as part of the 2nd chapter of the day right before nightime, right after the skate contest. Anyway … Let me tell you … It’s trendy.

As of for the setup, a 40-square meter gallery with a curated storefrond emblazoned with the popular ‘M+RC’ logo on the leftside window and a tiny side-to-side sticker on the rightside one, which is more than adequate for the well-established brand

On display, is a piece of each items carrefuly organized but since we showed up late on the sunday afternoon, the tracksuit mid-zipper jacket and its trousers with the small sided tags are long gone. However, the quality of the fabric on both clothes and accessories is incredible and after a quick look around the shelves, it wasn’t an urban legend that they perfectly captured the essence of what streetwear has to propose and synthetized it with taste in different pattern.

Singularity is the key, and the small ‘M+RC’ patch has the same effect on people, I guess, as the Supreme legendary ‘Box Logo’.

While sitting back and looking at the kids in the store trying on, what will be their next grail, I was impressed that a French Brand could make it this far in a market that is generally dictated by American brand.

Meeting with the whole crew was one of a kind experience, as the walls only reverberated, beside of the background music, the staff talking about the underground streetwear industry and their next destination.

It was clear, they were thrilled to go back to Asia.

Cause Marché noir isn’t only a brand, but a 360-concept which masters the Ostensible demarketing strategy to its extent. That dominate this very secretive little underground world and that’s why  popular models such as Ian Connor, Wake up sasha and Osiris are featured in their lookbooks.

This is hard work that pays-off. From their humble beginning to their star-stud Hollywood lifestyle, the young creators had the chance to link up with the biggest names in the hip hop industry, and accentuate through garment the artists’ musical vision.

A must for any souncloud rapper who need his style to be on-point.

Supreme Member Na-kel Smith Rocks Unseen Chanel Inspired Supreme Embossed Puffer Jacket during Telfar’s “Country” show

As you might have noticed, this Season’s official Supreme lifestyle model is now Sean Pablo from the official Supreme Skateboard team. Replacing last year main model, Na-Kel Smith who decided to focus on his rap career.

Nak performed at the “Country” Show alongside Ho99o9 and Mid90s, a collaborative between designer Telfar Clemens and playwright Jeremy O. Harris. However, he is still part of the Supreme crew and has still his access. So it was only right that the first to have the jacket would be him.


Though it is still unclear if it is a Chanel collaboration inspired by their Embossed-logo puffer jacket, the upcoming rapper was performing during a Telfar show, he rocked the supreme banner, which is actually the most anticipated piece of the year.

A Supreme embossed puffer jacket in a khaki colourway, still unseen in the silver colourway. For the time being there is no official release date nor price for the jacket but they Chanel one is currently reselling for $4500.

After the 2018 riots in L.A. after the pop-up shop and Suicide Boys concert DC Shoes has teamed up with iconic Los Angeles streetwear brand, F**KTHEPOPULATION on a collaboration that takes FTP’s uncommon aesthetic and gives it a high-altitude application.

In a new collection of winter outerwear and softgood accessories, the DC x FTP Snow Collection is composed of two snowboard sets in White and red camo; a 100% Polyester Reflective Logo Printed Ripstop with 100% polyester oxford panels white survival bib, mesh lining and brushed tricot on the knews, available in both red and white.

However we will grant them the benefit of doubt as a week after its official release, the KeepAll 50 has been one of the most hyped item of the late Louis Vuitton’s SS19 runway that took place in Paris back in June and seems to have inspired the French designer to excel.

The Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh bag waves both visual and technical similarities with the late fanny pack. Both made of Polyvinyl chloride ( PVC ) and embossed their most famous monograms.
