Rich The Kid Brings out the heavy artillery for New Freezer’s Official Videoclip featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Rich The Kid has previewed the track for month, prior to its official release and was originally thought to include A$AP Ferg and Madeintyo.

A month ago, the Ben Jayne produced track titled ‘New Freezer‘ was finally released and considered Rich’s most prominent feature since West Coast’s heavyweight Kendrick Lamar jumped on it.

But it was only the beginning since today is the release of the official videoclip and they did it big. Directed by TDE’s President Dave Free and Movie Director Jack Begert from Psychofilms, who was also behind the camera for Kendrick’s ‘God is Gangsta‘ and Shoolboy Q’s ‘Groovy Tony‘ just to name few. In the teaser to down below, which was respectively posted on Rich’s IG, you can see three strippers twerking throught the shop window to the intro of the instrumental, with the Rich Forever CEO in a glittering pair of trousers, standing immobile for the duration of the sequence.

Last month, during an extensive interview with Bootleg Kev at 92.3 LA ‘The real after party’, the young CEO talked about his affiliation with T.D.E‘s camp,  and cleared that he wasn’t signed to the label, that it was ‘family’ and explained how he met Kendrick and that the song came about when he was recording at the Interscope’s studio, and his A&R Manny smith introduced him :

‘I was like freaked out because for me,you know, I’m saying ‘that’s Kendrick Lamar!’; I mean, I haven’t been in there as long as him, I’m younger so it was just a big thing. I played two records for him, and ‘new freezer’ was like the one that he was like ‘Yo, I gotta get on this!’

Interview : ZAC FTP Sits Down With Complex News

Published

on

ZAC, founder of the illusive street wear mainstay FTP, also know as F*** The Population, sits down with complex news to discuss the brands growth, working with iconic brands, and remaining anonymous.

During the interview, Zac took the time to disclose a potential 10 year anniversary store opening for the acronymed brand, as he isn’t quite sure that FTP needs a storefront where people can go to and shop at on a daily basis.

For the past, ten to twenty years, streetwear mainstay like MRC Noir, Supreme and FTP have been using the ostensible demarketing strategy, which could be impaired by having a storefront.

In the video, we are lucky to learn a bit more about Skyler broker, self-proclaimed warehouse manager and chilhood friend of Zac, who recalls a police raid at their facilities.

In other news, do you guys remember when the January ’07 pop end up in a riot ? here is a link … Read more

Disclaimer: We would like to issue a statement as we have been FTP customer in the past. No matter how hyped is the brand and only god knows how much we love the brand you should stick to buying casual stuff like tshirt and sweater since the quality of certain item we bought was not up to our expected standard.

You can also find his extensive 2015 interview with Adam Grandmaison for No Jumper here.

Smokepurpp Drops “Audi 2” Videoclip Easing us Into “Deadstar 2” Tape

Published

on

Second videoclip in view of the upcoming release of “DeadStar 2”, SmokePurpp who has been taking his time on its release returns slowly from the shadows with his lead-up single called “Audi 2” produced by Ronny J.

The overall feeling is close to microwaved music, like the pasta dish from lunch time that you warm up once again. No energy is shared in the music video, only that 808 pound, signature of Ronny J’s production with a cipher that will largely please fans but adds nothing to the genre.

Sorry for killing the vibe but we ain’t trying to hype s**t up is it doesn’t move us …

However, Deadstar 2 releases on December 13 and we will listen to it and review it … Hope he will do better than that.
