Ski Mask The Slump God States That Kodak Black is 2 Pac

Published

on

Ski Mask The Slump God pulled up at the 92.3 LA studio earlier today to talk what is currently going on in his career, how things has evolved for him and the Very Rare crew and more

The radio hosts went kinda straight to the point opening the discusion with the recurrent statement that the Florida emerging rap scene have kind of coined what is refered to as ‘Soundcloud rapper’ now-a-day. True in a way, as all the artist from the UG movement such as XXXTentacion and the Members only or Lil Pump, Pouya and more have unned the musical platform with plays adding up to multiple billions.

Lil Pump is number one but X’s wing man is now number two. A big achievement for the underground Emcee who could have stayed in the shadow of X’s popularity.

The Slump God Aka Stokeley also talks about the transition that will be necessary, due to his incresing fame, from free music to monetized platform :

‘I even told my friends about that, and like tweeted about. I was like, eventually I’m not gonna be able to drop music for free anymore. Of course I’m gonna have to make the transition, I’m scared too, but I feel like the fanbase that I built so far it’s like strong enough to go on another platform either way. But soundcloud is definitely useful in like successful’ the rapper said.

They then talked about XXX’s album ’17’ being number one on Itunes and that Kendrick actually even tweeted about it.

and bounced straight to fact that both radio hosts were kind of amazed when he released ’17’, as he didn’t used the distorded scremo style the were famous for. In fact Ski acknowledged it, and tells Kev that he knew people would expect X to drop some violent ‘Look at Me‘ music but instead he took another creative direction and channeled a deeper side of his musical culture.

However, X’s name came up at least a dozen time in the 4 minutes of the interview, it shows how hard people link everything that emerged from X’s popularity as him being the source of it. Despite the popular belief, we, at DrillKing have always been Ski’s fan and actually stated many times that the first we heard of and felt sonnicaly in love with was The slump god with the Keith Ape single in our ‘Ski Mask Is a Pure Genius‘ article published in the 600 Breezy hosted issue of DK magazine.

Therefore Kev decide to focus on Ski’s future release, but mistakenly link the artist’s music to the distorded style which he hasn’t use for ages now, since he kinda use the same ‘catch me outside’ flow pattern on super suffocated sampled instrumental, where he delivers what could have been Quavo shaggy-influenced son. Nevertheless the Floridian lyricist doesn’t take it personnel and answer in the most transparent way :

‘I want to have at least a little bit of everything a little bit because I also sing to I want to have distortion when I’m clean when I bring back boomed up one song I want to have like because I hate different varieties and genres to be the best artists that can be so I’m trying’
They then moved on, on how their crew influence today’s hip hop scene, and how they inspire people. Did few random questions, which lead to clear the record concerning the fact that Ski isn’t actually from Broward County but from “Deep Side” a Fort LAuderdale slum, on Martin Luther King Boulevard and 31st Street right across the street for the flea market, for those who wondered. That he spent times in Jersey, in Georgia and in New York too.
While quoting his MC influence such as Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and Method Man, the rapper talks about ‘meeting’ NAS at Mass Appeal :
Ski: I met nas too recently I was there doing like a interview for mass appeal and then I go to the bathroom to take a piss he was like he looks up at these washing his face I’m looking right and I walk in a star like
Kev: that’s gotta be awkward like you talk to him in the bathroom
Ski: like hey what’s up man yeah yeah I know I was in there and you was in there but you know interesting introduction yeah I just took a piss but I’m a huge fan. it’s crazy cuz like you just walk in the bathroom you’re walking right in the stall and not the reverse like I took some back steps although that’s crazy man.
For the record, they were the one to invite Rob Stone few days after XXXTentacion was brutaly knocked out, on stage at his San Diego show. Few know, but Ski also got beat up during a show by Stone and his crew a while back and ended up unconscious and butt-naked at the back of the venue. However the radio host claims he hate to the touch on the negative but they needed to get his side of the story.
On of the biggest statement he has during the interview is when is asked who is the biggest in Florida right now and his answer is on point :
“I try to tell people like Kodak Black is a fuckin 2Pac [Applause] I never seen anything like it in my life bro cuz it’s like in Florida nobody just got you trippin. it’s good to hear somebody like Kodak when you actually go to Florida because I feel like a lot of people don’t get to make that trip. A lot of people, or you know taking it in on that you see go yeah like when you go to any of those clubs you’re just riding around and you hear it, you just understand immediately like wow this is the vibe of the city.”

Controversy …. Soulja Boy Claims He Taught Drake Everything

Published

on

Young Drako has finessed his way back in the game. After multiple tries over the last 12 month, he has finally found his way back and is currently bagging up headline. His technique isn’t that complicated but trolling is an art, and Soulja Boy is the master …

“He copied my whole fucking flow!”

Soulja Boy claims

However Young Drako still makes a point when he comments on every single one of his alleged challengers. Today, he was in the offices of the Breakfast Club.

Unfortunately, it had to come to Drake to fuel the controversy. As the Interview went on, Soulja clowned Drake, beside the BS and obvious intended disrespect, Soulja exposes Aubrey Graham, for stealing his flow on the his Young Money debut single ” Miss me ” from 2010.

Soulja accuses him of stealing his catch phrase from 2008 track “What’s Hannenin”, which Drake copied word for word.

However, things are clear that Drake’s track is way more evolved than the really basic track the young ATL rapper delivered back in the days. But we can’t argue that even the “What’s Hannenin” was stolen from Atlanta’s slang; A slang largely popularized by Soulja Boy in the early days of Youtube.

For being there at that time, we can’t argue that Big Soulja popularized Migos and had legit hit with them before Drake even hopped on “Versace”. However he did not discovered Chief Keef but was also there first and stole Big Sosa’s swag in the early days and we have proof to back it up.

Lets us know how you feel about the controvery ?
