A picture of what is rumored to be the Lafayette storefront banner in New York made its way on the internet.
Over the weekend, a picture of Supreme’s banner emerged after it was allegedly stolen from NYC storefront. Surfacing on“Buying and Selling BBC, Bape, Supreme (NYC)” Facebook group, the misterious Zoe Godz had the genuwine idea to post the 1-of-1 item for sale, confident that you can’t find it anywhere else.
Starting at $666 USD, the item has since vanished from the market place and we reached out to the admin to know more about what went down.
The misterious Zoe Godz also shared an image of someone, presumably himself, draped in the precious banner along a waterfront captionned :
“WE GOT THE BANNER TO NYC SUPREME STORE IF U HAVENT NOTICE ITS GONE ITS CUZ I GOT IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HMU FOR OFFERS SILK MATERIAL LMAO ZOE GOD SHIT.”
According to Hypebeast, It wouldn’t be out of the question that the theft could have been motivated considering resellers waited nearly a week outside of the supposed Supreme x Louis Vuitton pop-up only to see the drop cancelled.
For the time being, the only legit picture we found doesn’t include the actual spot where the banner is usually hanged and as Lafayette street currently has scaffolding up at the location, we can assume it was removed due to construction … stay tuned as updates will be shared at the bottom of this article
