Lone Star Fugitive Task Force marshals arrested Savawn Kyle for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Renard Smith back on October 25, 2016 at the 8000 block of Midcrown.
A suspect accused of fatally shooting a 29-year-old man on the Northeast Side over money owed in October was apprehended Friday.
Savawn Kyle, 23, faces a capital murder charge in the death of Renard Smith, who was gunned down Oct. 25 outside The Right Choice Food Mart, 8011 Midcrown Drive, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Smith was found shot in the head when officers arrived at the store about 8 p.m. and was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, police said. He was pronounced deceased at 10:01 p.m., according to previous reports.
“Hell, naw. I ain’t worried about no (accusations),” Kyle said, using explicit language Friday evening as he was escorted to a police SUV at the San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters, 315 S. Santa Rosa St.
